After driving and reviewing the all-new 2022 Silverado ZR2 model, I tried out the LT Trailboss option to see what the capability differences are between these two off-road-oriented pickup trucks. This Silverado Trailboss review looks primarily at the equipment included in the lower-priced Trailboss and compares its capabilities to the more expensive ZR2. In the end, I’d put my money on this one. The diesel engine option (not available on the ZR2) is better and the off-road equipment covers over 90 percent of what’s needed by most. Plus it looks great and is easier on the pocketbook.

The ZR2 is a new trim level for the Silverado 1500 pickup truck. It adds off-road goodies like special dampers, bumpers with better clearance, aggressive all-terrain tires, and more to the truck. Is it truly an off-road-ready beast or just another wannabe with knobby tires and not much else?
