Special guest Aidan walks around the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450e with me. The GLE 450e is the latest plug-in vehicle from Mercedes. It features about 40 miles of all-electric range and a turbocharged gasoline engine.

Mercedes-Benz hasn’t specified whether this will be released as a 2023 or 2024 model and did not provide a window sticker showing price or other details for the vehicle. I very much suspect that it will begin production in June or July and will be marketed as a 2024.

Mercedes-Benz has a trio of electric vehicles in its new EQ lineup of EVs. The EQE is the small sedan of the group, sized from the E Series, and it’s well-done. With 300+ miles of electric range, tons of interior features, and a quick powertrain, there’s a lot to love about the most affordable of the new Mercedes EV lineup.

The Mercedes EQ lineup is where the company plans to place all of its electric vehicles going forward. Most of them have an existing equivalent in the standard gasoline line. For the EQE, that’s the E Series. Sized similar to that model, the EQE uses the same underpinnings as the larger EQS and the SUV-styled EQB. And it’s really, really good. Smooth, comfortable, and very useful as a daily driver. Well done, Mercedes-Benz!

2022 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 is HYUGE!

The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is the company’s commercial van. It comes on a host of configurations and is often outfitted by third party upfitters as a camper or a custom work van. We drove it as a straight cargo van with a few added pieces to make it livable. All for a lot less money than you’d expect out of a 3/4-ton vehicle.

Review: 2022 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500

The big Sprinter is a commercial van that comes in several sizes. This time around, it’s the 3/4-ton 2500 in cargo configuration with a couple of extras to include a high roof and a headache wall to divide the cabin from the cargo space. This is a hugely capable van with a great getup for daily use as a working vehicle. Plus it’s amazingly low cost.
