Here I review the 2021 Ford Ranger in its Lariat trim level with the Tremor package added. The Tremor package is Ford’s new “off-road” package for the Ranger, using the name from the F-Series off-road rigs. Unlike those, however, the Ranger Tremor only gets aesthetic changes with that badge. Let’s take a look.
In this review, I get into the 2020 Ford Ranger in its Lariat 4×4 package and talk about the hits and misses for this little truck. The Ranger is somewhat unique in that it gets compared to larger, more capable pickups and yet isn’t one of them and shouldn’t be confused with one. Instead, it’s a small, capable pickup with a mixture of car and truck attributes. Check it out.
*Editorial update: As commentators have pointed out, I was incorrect in stating that the Lariat trim is the middle trim for the Ranger. It is the top trim.

In this video, I answer a question about marketing for the Ford Ranger. The Ranger isn’t getting a lot of mass market marketing, such as general broadcast TV or sports team sponsorships. There’s a reason for that and Ford is smart to be advertising the Ranger in the way it has been.
