General Motors has been dealing with torque converter shudder in its eight-speed automatic transmissions for years. Apparently, the problem has now happened often enough that it needs paperwork to bypass dealer discretion. The problem has persisted in Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, and Canyon trucks.
