GMC’s midsized pickup truck is popular, but potential buyers have a lot of questions. Here’s those that are most asked:
- What engine comes standard? Every trim features the 2.7L TurboMax 4-cylinder engine that produces 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Towing capacity will depend on other configuration variables, but tops out at 7,700 lbs.
- Does it have a lift? Yes, a 2-inch factory lift is standard (with the AT4X getting a 3-inch lift) for improved ground clearance.
- Which trim is best? The Elevation trim is popular for everyday needs and budget, while the AT4 and AT4X are sought after for serious off-roading with diff lockers and Multimatic dampers. The Denali is the top-tier premium trim. I recommend starting your shopping at the Elevation.
- What is the MultiStow Tailgate? It’s an available built-in, watertight storage compartment integrated directly into the tailgate. Storage is limited, but it’s pretty cool.
