I recently went on a spate of trips to get semi-exclusive access to some things. These are the types of trips I prefer. I rarely go on “first drive” type events where media are brought in to spend a few hours driving a car to and from some hotel somewhere. Those first drives are the most common type of press trip and I usually have little interest and get little return from doing them.
