When we first encountered the Polaris Slingshot, it was in its new design with an in-house engine. That 2020 model was a lot of fun, but we bemoaned not having the ability to control gearing with the new automatic transmission. We were concerned, however, that the manual transmission offered would make the autocycle feel dangerous. We were wrong.
