1916 Detroit Electric Brougham Model 60 – back when ‘electric’ wasn’t ‘alternative’

When Detroit Electric produced the 1916 Brougham Model 60 (often called the “Opera Coupe”), the company had already been making electric cars for nine years and boasted not only one of the longest ranges in the industry, but also the highest number of cars produced. This beautiful carriage-style EV still fascinates us now, nearly 100 years later.
