The BMW X1 was completely redesigned for the 2016 model year, resulting in a taller, wider, and far roomier crossover versus its predecessor. When the X1 was introduced, the compact luxury crossover segment was new territory. Now it contains a lot of competition and BMW has reacted with a much more segment-conscious offering.
