If you check your coolant levels regularly, you may eventually catch a leak. Otherwise, you’ll likely notice it when your vehicle begins to run a little hot and eventually gets close to overheating or (worse) overheats. Most of the time, coolant leaks are small, slow, and hard to catch until they become a bigger problem. Vigilance can help, but at least knowing what to do when one manifests is better than sitting on the side of the road wondering what happened.
