Slowly but surely, BMW is moving towards a battery electric vehicle as a series rather than a single model. Shown at the 2012 LA Auto Show, the i3 Concept Coupe is a study towards that goal and shows that the German automaker is getting close to it. The I brand will be punctuated by several models to represent various vehicle markets. This latest i3, built on the earlier concept of the same name, is aimed towards taking the series to full production.
